Sorry that I have not posted in a while. Still trying to get used to things at home. I have been in alot more pain than I thought that I would be. Delaney is doing well. They have increased her feedings and she was able to take out her umbilical IV. She has been put under a light because her bilirubin was high and her jaundice was not going away on its own like they had hoped, but it is already maing a huge change so she probably will not have to do that for long. She has not been able to take a bottle yet so she still has har little tube to feed her. They daid that at her age they do not expect her to know what to do with a bottle. Since she has her IV out this week I get to start soing alot more with her. They will show me how to bathe her and we will start skin to skin contact and try to introduce her to breastfeeding. The breastfeeding could take a couple of weeks so patience is the key. I have not been able to see her for the past two days because the 45 minute drive takes alot out of me. The nurses and doctor asked that I stay home for a few days to regain some strength so that I can come spend more time with her this week.  I will give an update soon.
